Loomey Viewer is the free photo & video viewer for your NAS or any SMB share — and for USB drives and local folders too. No account, no cloud, no index. If something doesn't work the way you expect, we want to know.

Make sure your iPhone/iPad is on the same network as the NAS and that SMB is enabled on the server. When iOS asks for Local Network permission, allow it — without it, discovery can't work (Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → Loomey Viewer). You can always add a server manually by IP address, too.
Photos: HEIC, JPEG, PNG, TIFF — plus camera RAW including ProRAW/DNG, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF and RW2. Videos: MOV, MP4 and M4V, streamed directly from the share without copying first. Live Photos are shown as separate photo and video files.
No. Loomey Viewer has no account, no analytics and no cloud component. Your media and credentials never leave your network; login details are stored only in your device's keychain.
Large originals (e.g. 50–100 MB ProRAW files) take a moment on first view — after that they're cached on the device. Wired or 5-GHz Wi-Fi connections to the NAS help a lot.
That's the job of our backup app Loomey — it exports your iPhone photo library to your NAS, deduplicated and verified. Loomey Viewer is its free viewing companion, but works with any existing photo archive on any SMB share.
